With a blessing from a pastor and baptism by the godmother Stefanie Lang (MVV), the starting signal for the Altrheindüker has been given. With an outer diameter of 4.10 m, SONNTAG will drive the 120 t heavy tunneling machine under the Altrhein in the coming weeks. The 405 m long tunnel section will be put into operation for the MVV as a multi-purpose duct starting from October 2019.
