Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of the data of the visitors to and users of (hereinafter referred to collectively as 'the user') the internet services provided by SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe, Trinkbornstraße 21, D-56281 Dörth, Phone: +49 (6747) 9309 -0, Fax: +49 (6747) 9309 -30, e-mail as a body acting in accordance with data protection laws.

1. Collecting data

a.  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe collects data each time its services are accessed (so-called server log files). This data includes names of the websites and files accessed, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notifications indicating if the website was successfully accessed, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (previously visited site), IP address and the provider requesting data.

b.  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe only uses the log data for statistical analysis, which enables the operation, safety and optimisation of the service, without associating it personally with the user or with any other kind of profiling, as required by law.  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe reserves the right to review the log data however, if there is concrete evidence which reasonably suggests that there has been an unlawful use of the service.

2. Collection and use of personal data

a. Personal data is only collected or used by  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe if this is permitted by law, or if the user consents to the data being collected. In general, it is clear to the user what kind of data is stored when using the service, such as his name or email address and any messages sent when using the contact form.

b. When contacting  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe (via the contact form or email) the user's details will be saved in order to process the request and in case there are follow-up questions.

3. Disclosing data to third parties

a. The user's data will only be passed on to third parties if it is legally permitted to do so or the user has consented to it.

4. Cookies

5. Google Analytics

a.  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe uses Google Analytics, which is a web analytics solution run by Google Inc. ('Google'). Google Analytics uses 'cookies', i.e. text files, which are stored on the user's computer and allow  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe to analyse how the website is used. The information the cookie generates about the user’s activity on this website is normally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

b. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, the user's IP address will however be abbreviated by Google in the European Union member states or in other states that are parties to the European Economic Area Treaty before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional circumstances will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. This website uses IP anonymization. Google will use the information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate how the site is used, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with further services concerning website and internet use.

c. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data held by Google. The user can prevent cookies being saved by appropriately adjusting the browser settings. However,  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe advises the user that in this case it may not be possible to use all the website functions to their full extent. The user can also prevent the data generated by the cookie related to his activity on the website (including the IP address) from being collected and processed by Google by following this link to download and install the relevant browser plugin:

6. Use of the Google +1 button

a.  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe uses the Google Plus '+1' button, which is owned by the social network run by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ('Google'). The button is indicated by the '+1' symbol on a white or coloured background.

b. When users visit a web page on the  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe website which has such a button, the browser establishes a direct connection with Google's servers. The contents of the '+1' button are directly communicated to the user's browser by Google and integrated from there into the website.  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe therefore has no influence on the amount and scope of data that Google collects with the '+1' button. According to Google, no personal data will be collected if the user does not click on the button. Such data, including the IP address, will only be collected and processed from logged-in members.

d. If the user is a Google Plus member and does not want Google to collect his data when accessing the  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe website and to connect it with the member data collected by Google, the user must log out of Google Plus before using the website.

7. Use of Facebook Social Plugins

a. SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe uses social plugins ('plugins') owned by the social network, which is run by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ('Facebook'). The plugins are identified by one of the Facebook logos (white 'f' on a blue tile or a 'thumbs up' sign) or by the phrase 'Facebook Social Plugin’. b. When users visit a web page on the SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe website which contains such a plugin, the browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The contents of the plugin are transmitted from Facebook directly to their browser and then integrated into the website. Therefore, SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppehas no influence on the amount and scope of data that Facebook collects with this plugin and informs the user accordingly, to the best of its ability.

c. By integrating the plugin, Facebook receives information about the web pages the user has accessed on the  SONNTAG Unternehmensgruppe website. If the user is not logged into Facebook or is not a member, Facebook ensures that the IP address will only be stored anonymously. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can link the visit to the user's Facebook account. When the user interacts with the plugins, by clicking the 'like' button or adding a comment for example, the information is sent directly from his browser to Facebook and stored there.

8. Retraction, changes, corrections and updates
