Site at Mannheim, Old Rhine Culvert - October 2018

The blessing of a priest and baptism by godmother Stefanie Lang (MVV) signals the start of the Old Rhine Culvert. In the next few weeks SONNTAG will be tunnelling under the Old Rhine with the 120 t pipe-jacking machine with 4.1 m outer diameter. The 405 m long tunnel section will be brought into operation as multi-line culvert for MVV as early as October 2019.
